2022 Malvasia Bianca, Betty's Vineyard

St. Helena, Napa Valley

Grown in Betty's Vineyard right outside our winery terrace, four rows of Malvasia Bianca grow. As the only grower of this rare grape in Napa Valley, this fun varietal proves to be quite diverse. Fermented dry, this wine has floral aromatics with undertones of fruit blossoms.  Lemon lime zest, peach, and nectarine, with hints of honeysuckle, basil, and almonds. This wine is light and refreshing with bright acid and minerals making one salivate and crave more. This wine has quickly become a staff favorite.

"The Malvasia Bianca’s nose will transport you to a field blooming with jasmine and roses and an orchard filled with tree-ripe peaches. The floral and stone fruit flavors intertwine beautifully with a crisp and mineral-driven palate. I loved making this wine! As a winemaker, it was so fun to make something so unique." Vineyard Notes
Betty's Vineyard is home to the Ballentine family, our winery, and all of our white wines. This vineyard was purchased in 1944, by Frank Ballentine's late father and grandfather, Van and John Ballentine. The soil is Bale clay with moderate drainage, producing expressive wines with soft textures.
