A brilliant release for our estate-grown Merlot. Raspberries and cherries with cocoa nib and anise. Blackberry jam and herbaceous notes of rosemary and thyme. A hint of spice assists a long finish. Absolutely delicious.

Silver Medal, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

Primarily coming from our warmest vineyard in Calistoga, this vintage is rich and full-bodied. Big zinfandel with bright red fruit and a plush mid-palate makes the perfect segway to a lengthy finish. Flavors of raspberry, cherry, and anise compliment vanilla and fresh cracked pepper. Dark cocoa nib and lavender with hints of expresso are expressed as the bottle opens up.

Pocai Vineyard

The aroma of plums, cassis, and blueberry pie matches the palate. Lavender, red licorice, and hints of toasted cedar and earth sneak out as the wine opens up. A spicy finish of white pepper and cinnamon completes this wine.

Pocai Vineyard

We are excited to share our Petit Verdot grapes from our newly planted block at the Pocai Vineyard.  Planted as a blending varietal for us, we are amazed by the quality and just fell in love with it. This wine showcases cassis, raspberry, black cherry, and holiday spices.  The wine is full and vibrant with racy acidity and a long finish.

2019 Petit Verdot Released in September!

The Reserve label is the most elevated in our Cabernet portfolio. The intertwined circles were chosen to represent the marriage of Betty Pocai and Van Ballentine and their two families vineyards and history joining.

Black cherry and fig compote with a beautiful floral nose compliment the vanilla, cedar, and blueberry pie. A hint of coffee, toasted coconut, and huckleberries balance this full-bodied wine! The perfect winter Cabernet.
